The ESNcard is a must-have for exchange students in Austria. It provides various benefits, discounts, and special offers to events organized by ESN, to ensure your exchange will be truly memorable.
The ESNcard is the membership card of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) and our local organization ESN Klagenfurt. It gives you access to all the services offered by ESN and all our partners. The aim of the ESNcard – or ESN membership – is to support international students and trainees and give them access to affordable opportunities during their period abroad.
Key highlights of the ESNcard:
- Exclusive for eligible exchange and international students.
- Special discounts: Enjoy special discounts from local, national and international partners.
- Event benefits: Get exclusive discounts on ESN events. Certain events or trips are exclusive for ESNcard holders.
- International acceptance: The ESNcard is recognized by ESN sections and partners across all countries with ESN sections.
- Validity: The card is valid for one year and requires a photo for verification.
How to get your ESNcard:
To get your ESNcard, apply for the extraordinary membership of ESN Klagenfurt. If your exchange university does not have an ESN section, contact the closest ESN section.
Who can get an ESNcard from us?
To check if you are eligible to apply for an extraordinary membership and get an ESNcard in general, please check the ESNcard.org FAQ. If any of the categories mentioned there applies to you and
- you are studying at University of Klagenfurt, PH Kärnten/Viktor-Frankl-Hochschule, CUAS Carinthia or Gustav-Mahler Private University (GMPU)
- or are doing a traineeship/internship/apprenticeship in Carinthia
- or are an ESN Volunteer/Alumni or buddy,
- you have been given the link to this form by the ESNcard manager of ESN Klagenfurt (eligibility has been proved individually),
you can apply for an extraordinary membership and ESNcard.
The final decision will be made by the board of ESN Klagenfurt.
The following persons are not eligible to get an ESNcard:
- regular students of any Higher Education Institutions not mentioned above.
- Outgoing exchange students of any Higher Education Institution in Austria (please contact the ESN section of your guest university or if there is no section nearby contact us via email ([email protected]) to help you finding an individual solution.
