Who are we?
We’re ESN Klagenfurt, a passionate, international team dedicated to making your study time in Klagenfurt truly unforgettable.
Our members come from all over the world and we work together to create the best possible experience for both exchange and regular international students. We organize exciting trips, fun parties, cultural events, and community building activities to help you feel at home right from the start.
More formally, the Erasmus Student Network Klagenfurt supports international students in their social, cultural, and academic integration. We coordinate events that promote intercultural exchange, multilingualism, and equal opportunities for incoming students. Our team provides guidance on academic matters, helps incoming students navigate administrative challenges such as residence permits or university procedures, and supports participants of various mobility programs (Eramus, Erasmus+, Joint Study, CEEPUS) before and during their exchange.
Through our Buddy system, we connect newcomers with local students who help with orientation, answer questions, and help incomings settle in Klagenfurt. We also manage initiatives such as Project Green, which promotes sustainability by redistributing donated items from outgoing to incoming students.
Throughout the semester, we host a wide variety of events: speed-friendship events, language cafés, international dinners, pub crawls, karaoke nights, and unforgettable excursions across Austria and to neighboring countries.
Our mission is simple: to create a welcoming community, support your transition to a new country, and enrich your academic and cultural journey.
